Job Description

The Parks and Recreation Department of the Town of Brunswick seeks candidates for various seasonal Summer Camp positions including Counselor, Assistant Site Supervisor and Site Supervisor. 

The ideal candidate(s) will have proven and demonstrated supervisory skills and background in working with children of all ages and customer service. Additional requirements include strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; provides a positive and helpful attitude while working with the public.  

All positions, unless otherwise noted below, will work an average 35-40 hours a week from June 14 - August 16. Please indicate which position you are applying for on your application. 

Counselor position will be responsible for direct supervision of a group of young children during the Summer Camp program. Ensuring the children’s safety while providing a fun experience in an organized and controlled environment will be the priority of this position. This position will pay $14.25-$16.00 per hour, based on experience.  

Assistant Site Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor in supervising a group of counselors, communicating with parents, organize trips and daily activities and ensuring the campers have a fun and safe environment throughout the program. This position will pay $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience. 

Site Supervisor will be responsible for complete oversight of a location within the summer camp program. Duties include supervising a group of counselors, communicating with parents, organizing trips and daily activities and ensuring the campers have a fun and safe environment throughout the program. This position will pay $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience.
