Recreation Coordinator

As Bath’s Recreation Coordinator, you will plan, organize, and deliver recreational programs and events for residents of all ages and abilities. You’ll coordinate seasonal youth sports, lead summer camp, and develop engaging programs that reflect community needs. Working closely with the Parks and Recreation Director and Deputy Director, you play a key role in the Recreation Division—collaborating with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure safe, inclusive, and well-run programs.

You have relevant education or experience in recreation, education, or a related field. You are organized, adaptable, and communicate effectively. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you thrive in a dynamic environment that includes evenings and weekends. Most of all, you are dedicated to providing high-quality recreation opportunities that enhance quality of life in Bath.
This full-time, FLSA-exempt position is a Grade B06 on the City’s scale and offers a starting wage of $25.56 – $29.34 per hour, depending on experience. The City of Bath offers ample paid leave, a Maine State Retirement plan in lieu of Social Security, and excellent health and wellness benefits.
