About
Parks & Recreation
The Benefits are Endless. . .
The Brewer Parks & Recreation Department has adopted this National Recreation and Parks program, along with numerous other departments across the country, in an effort to inform our respective communities of the endless benefits that parks and recreation provides. Recreation can increase community pride, build self-esteem and family unity, create memories, and offer social interaction. Parks can help protect the environment, increase property values, and help make you healthier, happier, and less stressed.
Numerous programs offered by the Brewer Parks & Recreation Department provide proof of those benefits. Here are just a few examples of why parks and recreation truly provides outstanding benefits: walking with your friends in the community center on a cold winter day, participating in yoga classes, taking part in our cutting edge after school program or extensive summer day camp activities, swimming in the municipal pool on a hot summer day, having fun with senior aerobics, or relaxing in any of our parks, playgrounds, and trails.
Make Brewer your recreation destination! The staff of the Brewer Parks & Recreation Department invites all Brewer citizens and visitors alike to take advantage of over 100 year-round program offerings. As you can see. . . the benefits are endless. . .
