RECREATION PROGRAMMER II - AFTER THE BELL
Recreation Programmer II (3 positions) After School Program. Various, permanent part time hours available 20-25 hours/week positions starting late August, 2022. The City of Portland Recreation Division is offering a creative opportunity to engage with the community through a variety of recreational activities. This position is responsible for planning, promoting and conducting daily programs in specialty areas such as arts, crafts, gymnastics, dance, music, cooking, outdoor recreation, etc. in our After School Program. The After School Program schedule begins in late August: Varied hours to include After School program 2:00pm - 5:30 pm (M-F). (Slight variations in hours and schedules are possible due to staggered start and end times of the Portland Elementary Schools). If desired, additional hours may be available for evening and weekend community center programming and rentals. Must have excellent customer service experience and enjoy working with children. First aid and CPR certified preferred.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must possess valid Class C driver's license in good standing. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal conviction background. CEBA Grade 9 - 6 month step - $19.27/hour. Accepting applications until all vacancies are filled.
