Program Assistant - Senior Center
Job Description
The City of South Portland is currently seeking a part-time Programming Assistant – Senior Center to join our team.
Nature of Work: Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for seniors in the Senior Drop-In Center. Performs a variety of duties related to assisting and communicating with the public in regards to services offered by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Supervision Received/ Exercised: Work is performed in accordance with departmental rules and regulations and the City’s policy under the direction of the Senior Coordinator.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 2-3 years or more experience in customer service, clerical support preferably in a public service setting.
Must be mature, flexible and a good role model. Clean driving history is required.

Starting Pay – $16.15 to $18.41 (depending on education and experience) per hour.
