Job Description

AQUATIC LEADER – Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department – Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week (flexible schedule including nights and weekends). Primary responsibilities of this full-time position involve formulating, managing and directing a comprehensive array of aquatic programs and activities in one or more facilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or combination of aquatic training and experience is desired. Must have prior experience assisting with evaluating, developing and managing programs, facilities and the safety of each. Also must have considerable knowledge of a variety of aquatic activities, and possess the ability to direct them. Must have experience organizing, leading and instructing specific aquatic programs and experience working with preschool, youth, teens and adult / senior adult patrons. Experience working with diverse populations and experience supervising and managing staff. Working knowledge of Google Suite, computer experience and the ability to keep data and prepare reports.

Necessary Special Requirements: American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor and PHTA Certified Pool Operator / attach a copy of all current certifications. Must possess a valid Class C driver's license in good standing. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Pay range starting at $874.88/week.
